Heli-Hiking with Anthropologist and Adventurer Brian Keating
"That was the best family vacation EVER! Can we go back?" If those are the words you are hoping to hear from your kids this August, read on to learn about what some families have described as "Hands down, the best time we've ever spent together."
Join CMH Summer Adventures this July for a family adventure vacation ...with a twist! We are excited to welcome Anthropologist (and entertainer!) Brian Keating to the Bobbie Burns Lodge.
Brian, the Adjunct Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Calgary, is a weekly guest on CBC Radio and for many years was featured on a bi-weekly national wildlife segment on the Discovery Channel. Brian is now the host of his own show on the Discovery Channel, Going Wild with Brian Keating.
For over 20 years Brian and his wife Dee have travelled the world, leading more than 80 expeditions to the best wildlife areas on the planet and have just returned from Antarctica. He will bring the stories of his travels to life on this all-ages Family Adventure at CMH's Bobbie Burns Lodge and have participants rolling on the floor laughing at the antics and adventures that are part of his everyday life.
July 21-24, 2014
Location: CMH Bobbie Burns Lodge, remote in the Canadian Rockies and accessible only by helicopter.
Spend the days hiking and walking (and perhaps via ferrate-ing and ziplining) amid some of the most spectacular wilderness in western Canada. Kids also spend the days out hiking with our mountain guides and our Family Adventure Leaders - parents are welcome to join them or hike in adult-only groups. Back at the lodge enjoy gourmet cuisine, a five-star winelist, kids meals, crafts and activities as well as engaging presentations and conversations with Brian and Dee.
